Piplani police have arrested a 62-year-old man for sexually assaulting a 41-year-old woman at a hotel at Raisen road on January 4; accused was arrested after woman lodged a complaint on Friday.
According to SHO of Piplani, Rakesh Shrivastava, the victim was lured of marriage by the accused identified as Rajendra Sharma but later refused to marry her.
The victim separated from her husband few years ago after her husband was arrested and sent under judicial custody.
A complaint was lodged by the victim stating that on January 4, she went to Central Jail in Gandhi Nagar to meet her husband and during her visit she met the accused who came to meet his son who is serving jail. After they got acquainted the accused offered her help and said that they could hire a good advocate for both serving in jail as he knows a lawyer who is good in dealing such cases.
After she got assured accused took the victim to a hotel located at Rajeev Nagar and sexually assaulted her and told her to keep mum and do not report the issue. He also assured that he would marry her but later he resorted to excuses and refused to marry her.
The accused also started to threaten the victim after which the victim lodged a complaint after the victim refused to marry and threatened her of life.
Police registered a case of sexual assault against the accused and nabbed the accused on Friday.
