2 members of Ashok Pradhan gang held

The Delhi Police has arrested two members of “Ashok Pradhan gang” in national Capital. The duo gangster was also inspired by the “Bollywood” movies and wanted to earn name and money as a dreaded criminal. Police said that with their arrest two cases of attempt to murder and armed robbery have been worked out.

The accused have been identified as Naveen (21) a resident of district Jhajjar in Haryana and Rahul Dagar (20), a resident of Jaffarpur Kalan, Delhi.

According to Dr G Ram Gopal Naik, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Crime Branch, on April 21, specific inputs were received regarding two accused, who are the members of Ashok Pradhan Gang and recently committed armed robbery in the area of Baba Hardas Nagar would be coming to Najafgarh drain crossing on Dwarka-Chhawla road.

“Following the tip-off, a trap was laid and accused Naveen, and Rahul, were apprehended. Police also recovered two country made pistol with live cartridges from the possession of the accused,” said the DCP.

“During interrogation the accused Naveen disclosed that to take revenge of his cousins who were murdered in his village, he joined Ashok Pradhan gang. After acquiring illegal arms, they tried to murder one person of his village in broad daylight on last Monday at Bahadurgarh at his shop but that person somehow escaped the attack,” said the DCP.

“While another accused, Rahul Dagar, during interrogation revealed that  he got inspired from lifestyle of a criminal Sanam Dagar of his native village and wanted to follow the same track. He also disclosed that he was having enmity with one of his neighbour from his same village and he wanted to eliminate him with help of his associates,” said the DCP adding that further investigation is going on.
