The State Government is committed towards fulfilling promises halving property tax rates and power tariff but people should not take undue advantage of it by stopping their payment, said Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Monday.
He was speaking at a public felicitation programme for the legislators of Raipur.
Baghel said that the State Government is committed towards fulfilling each and every promise made in the poll manifesto.
He assured that soon property tax would be curtailed to half and the same would be done for power tariff.
The Chief Minister further expressed his annoyance that people have stopped paying property tax and power bill keeping in view the poll promise made.
Commenting of SITs formed for various cases he said that it was not an act of vengeance but is for getting justice. “Our party activists believe that the time is now for a change”, he said reacting to the criticism by opposition Bharatiya Janata Party on setting up of SITs.
