Usually movies that involves animals are cute and sweet even though Hollywood is known to make gruesome films with them. Anaconda, Lake Placid and Croc are only some of the horror films that have been made over the years.
But when it comes to animation — the ‘awaw’ factor can’t be ignored and The Secret Life of Pets 2 is no different, a sequel. Not that one has to see or remember the prequel but it helps if you are familiar with the characters and the relationship they share.
There are three independent tracks running at the same time — this can be a tad confusing for the young minds, but the good is that they all converge and tie up in the end. All’s well that ends well.
There are enough moments of furry cuteness, laughs and energy that will keep even the adults happy. More so if you love cats and dogs.
Over all, the film is perfect for kids’ day out!
