Teachers show their dancing skills at SJCS

The teachers of different schools showcased their dancing talent at the inter-school Teacher’s Dancing Competition 2018. The competition was held at St Joseph’s Coed School here on Monday.

The event began with lighting of the lamp. Anup Joshi International Theater Artist, International dancer of Bharatnatyam Mahi Bharti Hombal were present in the judge’s panel.

The programme kicked off with solo dance performance by St. Joseph Co-Ed Hindi Medium on Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, and Ban Ke Piya Saniyan Marode Baiyaan. Later, schools like St. Paul School Carmel Convent, BHEL, Mount Carmel Bagmugalia, Carmel Convent also presented their spellbinding performances.

Carmel Convent presented Ramchandra's character in their performance, Shri Ram Shree Ram Shri Ram Chandra Pariupulu Bhujuman Harna Bhav-Dhar Daruram. Another performance from St. Xavier Barkheda, the Kuchipudi dance was a delight to watch. Campion School performed on the song Apsara Ayi. At the same time, to show the importance of going to school St Joseph’s Coed school presented a dance drama. 

The participants who came from all schools in the group dance competition looked very beautiful in bright and gorgeous dresses. The teachers of the St. Paul School, Anand Nagar, presented their dance performances based on topic Save Environment. Mayur dance was also performed during the competition which was loved by the audience.

In the solo dance, Carmel Convent received the first prize received, second prize was bagged by St. Xavier and the third prize was bagged by St. Paul Senior Secondary School. Besides, in group dance competition Carmel Convent BHEL received the first prize, Mount Carmel School, won second prize and the third prize was won by St. Paul Senior Secondary School, Anand Nagar.

On the occasion, School Principal, Father Varghese Shiju, Manager Father Ronald Cardorza, Sisters, school staff congratulated all the teachers.
