Saturday, 08 December 2018 | PNS | BRAHMAPUR

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) would contest Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Odisha in 2019, said TDP State unit in-charge Rajesh Putra here.

Putra said that the party would field candidates in 52 Assembly constituencies and five Lok Sabha seats including Koraput, Nabarangpur, Brahmapur, Aska and another from costal district of the State, where the party claims to have a stronghold.

“Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has decided to field party candidates claiming to make Odisha as developed as Andhra Pradesh,” added Putra. He also said that a progressive blueprint would be projected as the main agenda of the TDP before the people of Odisha during the elections.

The declaration of the TDP to fight elections in Odisha has created a buzz in the State politics.
