Students showcase culinary skills in Master Chef contest held by Hoteliers Association

Keeping in mind the wide diversity of eating habits in the city Jamshedpur, Hoteliers and Restaurant Association (JHRA) organised Master Chef competition on Sunday. The event was organised as part of the Jamshedpur Carnival at Gopal Maidan. On the second day of the carnival, school students participated in it.

Sharing the details of the event, Rajeev Singh Dugal President, JHRA said that the hoteliers association has been associated with Jamshedpur Carnival and to make the entire fest more interesting such contests are being organised.

He noted that the contest emphasised that cooking is not a daily chore but is all about dedication, knowledge, patience and expertise.  He said that our city is known for serving quality food and the association wants to connect with people having passion for cooking.

“Food has become important in our lives. Cooking skills of Indians are unique and complement their stories and experiences.  Best way to appreciate their talent is to showcase their adventure in every dish and task which we would be assigning them,” said Dugal.

Ronald D’costa, a senior hotelier of the city said that the carnival will provide the citizens a taste of Jamshedpur.

He said that the association wants to take the fest to national arena, where in the food from Jamshedpur can be promoted.   Randeep Singh, secretary, JHRA said that Pradeep Khosala, corporate chef, Zaiqu-e-Hyderabad has been invited to be part of the show.

On December 18 Khosala will conduct session for food lovers. Singh said that Jamshedpur Hoteliers and Restaurant Association is also participating in the carnival by organising a food festival. A total of 14 different stalls from Hyderabadi to Chinese food will be served. The hotels of the city will showcase their best of cuisines here.

Jamshedpur Carnival 2018, is being organised starting from December 15 to 18, 2018 at Gopal Maidan in Bistupur.
