RO inspects polling centre; reviews preparation

Returning Officer (RO) Deepak Soni inspected the Assembly constituency number 47 at Dharsiwa based polling centres of village panchayats as part of poll preparations.

Notably, Dharsiwa would witness polling in the second phase.  Meanwhile, ROs have been allocated rooms as nomination process is to commence from October 26 after notification.

The Returning Officer (RO) inspected villages of Maath, Kesla, Kharora, Navagaon, Beldar Sivni, Budeni, Barounda and Adsena Panchayat based polling centre and inspected the basic facilities and amenities being provided there.

He checked for the toilet facilities, power supply, drinking water, ramp arrangement for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) and elderly persons.

Meanwhile, Raipur district having seven assembly constituencies, seven Returning Officers has been allocated separate rooms in Collectorate premises for accepting the nomination papers and for conducting all other process involved in nomination process.

As per allocation made by District Electoral Officer and Collector Dr Basavraju S, for Dharsiwa (47) Returning Officer Deepak Soni has been allocated room number 4, Raipur Rural (48) Returning Officer Rajat Bansal room number 12, Raipur West (49) RO Sandeep Agrawal room number 11, Raipur North (50) RO Dr Basavraju S in room number 2, Raipur South (51) RO Dr Renuka Shrivastava room number 17, Arang (52) RO Heena Animesh Netam has been given room number 7 and Abhanpur (53) RO Abhijeet Singh has been given room number 21.

As per EC schedule, in seven state assembly constituencies the notification for polling would be issued on October 26 and the process for filing of nomination would commence.

All the ROs would be receiving the nomination papers of respective seats from candidates in these allocated rooms for them. Assistant Returning Officers and other staff would be assisting them in same rooms.

All the candidates and political parties have been asked to submit their application for meetings, rallies, procession, loudspeaker, temporary opening of party office, vehicle permit, street corner meeting, helicopter and helipad, stage, barricade installation among others through online to the respective Returning Officers, instead of arriving to

the office.

They can also see the status of application submitted online.
