Friday, 21 September 2018 | VISHVENDU JAIPURIAR | Hazaribagh

Keredari police are still struggling to get any clue in mysterious deaths of three persons including a four-months-old Aarohi Verma in Garikhurd village. On September16, a government teacher Ankita Soni's body was found from a room which was locked from inside. Ankita's daughter Aarohi's dead body was fished out from the well with Lakshmi (22). Police officials said Lakshmi was sister of Ankita's husband Rajesh Soni.

This was second such case in Hazaribagh as on July 15, six dead bodies found from a flat of the town with police still to solve this case.

Police officials said in Garikhurd case, they failed to understand as what actually happened with trio. Initial probe indicated suicide by Ankita and murder of Aarohi and Lakshmi. But then police has to establish as whether she consumed poison on her own or forced by someone to eat. But then officials said if someone supplied the poison why room was locked from inside. Police found blood from the house to well which was clear to understand that two bodies were dragged. Official said they are working on love angle and came to know that Lakshmi was having affair with a youth of another community.

But her father said this was an old matter and Lakshmi marriage was finalised and to take place in December.

Officials said this case needed investigation properly besides getting viscera reports. They said it was tough to understand as why Ankita committed suicide that too when she and her husband were government teachers. Even Ankita's father-in-law Dineshwar Soni was also a government teacher. Officials said family was well educated and enjoyed respect in the area.

But Ankita's parents said she was not happy these days and kept asking from them always as they will take care of her and Aarohi if she comes to live with them. Father Arun Verna said she was in depression and reason unknown to them.

Officials said mobile phones of the Anita and Lakshmi have been sent to forensic laboratory and probe going on to reach to fact of this case.
