No ‘political vendetta’ in Baghel’s arrest: Kaushik

The Bharatiya Janata Party has been always respecting the judicial system. Even after being sent to jail in a sordid crime of character assassination, Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) President Bhupesh Baghel is trying to derive political mileage by trying to become some sort of a ‘martyr’ before the people, which the people would not tolerate, State BJP Spokesman Sachchidanand Upasane  said on Monday.

While addressing a hurriedly called press conference on Monday,  Raipur Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Sanjay Shrivastava and BJP Spokesman Sachchidanand Upasane  said that Bhagel knows that now he would not be able come out of the case so is creating a dramatic situation and showing disrespect to the law of land.

“Everyone knows that Congress party had sought the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe in the incident. Now, without applying for a bail, Baghel has proved that he wants to take political mileage, which is never possible”, the two leaders stated.

“He (Baghel) has brought disrepute to state of Chhattisgarh”, they said.

Both BJP leaders said that Chhattisgarh has a different way of thinking. It does not tolerate the people of criminal mindset. Earlier also such people were shown the door, they said.

Congress party has become a tool to spread lies and rumours. As the public support is being lost, it is adopting such tactics to remain relevant but the people of the state would not allow their tactics to be successful, the two leaders said.

The BJP leaders alleged that whenever Congress has been in power, it has been backing the crimes which cause anarchy in the peaceful state. Now the Congress national leadership should decide whether to give the party leadership to persons having criminal mentality or learn lessons from such incidents and prepare for playing a better role as an opposition, they said.
