National Veda conference to be held in Vikasnagar

Experts from various Indian States will be attending the first national level Veda conference to be held at Vikasnagar on December 24-25.

Addressing the media at the Press Club, Martand Ved-Vigyan Anusandhan Sansthan head Sunil Painyuli said that more than 200 scholars of the four Vedas from 16 States of the nation will be attending the two-day conference. The spiritual, scientific and cultural aspects of knowledge in the Vedas have become all the more important in the present times, he said. The two day conference will focus on the study and dissemination of the Vedas. Pandits and scholars from across India will deliberate on research and also chant the Vedas for peace and harmony in the world. Vidhan Sabha speaker and Rishikesh MLA, Prem Chand Agrawal will be the chief guest on the inaugural day which will also be attended by Minister of State, Dhan Singh Rawat. Cabinet Ministers Prakash Pant, Arvind Pande and Tehri MP Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah will be attending the event on its concluding day, added Painyuli.
