The State Urban Development Minister Madan Kaushik distributed LPG connections in his office at Khanna Nagar on Friday. Under Ujjwala Yojana of the Centre, over five lakh families have been given the benefit. In the second phase, 40 connections have been given to the women from the rural areas.
Speaking on the occasion, Kaushik said, “Under this flagship programme of the Prime Minster Narendra Modi, lakhs of families have been benefited. Today 40 more connections have been given. By 2019, the target of covering all the houses in the district would be completed.”
