Marking a mont of the demise of late former Prime Minister and founding leader of theBharatiya Janata Party, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat participated in Kavyanjali programme organised by the BJP city unit here on Sunday. Various poets and speakers through their poems paid tributes to Vajpayee on the occasion.
Paying his tributes to the former Prime Minister, Rawat said that Vajpayee’s personality was acceptable and popular among the masses. “His personality was full of practical simplicity. Humble but yet firm in his ideology, he was able to give a nurture political atmosphere in the country.
His speeches were historic and general masses were always eager to listen to him. He will live forever in the hearts of common people, country and the world. The country will forever get guidance from Atali ji through his poems and thoughts,” the Chief Minister said.
MLAs, Khajan Das, Harbans Kapur, BJP State General Secretary Naresh Bansal, BJP city president Vinay Goel, party’s state Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’ and others were present on the occasion.
