Showcasing a wonderful performance, Delhi Public School (DPS) bagged the winner’s trophy at Sahodya Complex U-19 inter-school Basket Ball Tournament. The three-day tournament concluded on Saturday at St Joseph’s Coed School.
To mark the closure of the tournament, the final matches were played between the teams in both the categories.
In girls category, the final match was played between DPS and St Joseph’s Coed School. In this match exhibiting the brilliant performance, the team of DPS won the match with 5 points. DPS bagged the winner’s trophy in this category.
Besides, in boys category, the final match was played between DPS and St Joseph’s Coed in which again DPS showcased a brilliant performance and won the match. In this category too, DPS bagged the winner’s trophy.
During the final matches, Principal of Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS) Father John PJ, Principal of Campion School Father Athnes Lakra and Principal of Father Agnel School Sojan Joseph were present as the chief and special guests on the occasion. They were given a warm welcome by Principal of St Joseph’s Coed School Father Varghese Shiju by gifting a sapling and a memento.
The final matches were followed with felicitation of the winners. Under girls category, RRimsha Uddin of St Josehph’s Convent and Anvi Bharadwaj of DPS were felciiatated with the award of Best player. Anuja Goswami of St Joseph’s Convent was given the award of Best Defender.
In boys category Jai Khare of St Joseph’s Coed and Aman Gupta of DPS won the award of Best players. Anshul Bhatnagar won the trophy of Best Defender. Staff Reporter
