As part of deliberation on the preparation of the party for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, a review meeting of the Garhwal division of the State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was held at the State party office on Saturday. Addressing the meeting, the party’s national general secretary Saroj Pandey said that the workers should not get disheartened by the results of the recent Vidhan Sabha elections. She said that though the party had faced an unexpected defeat in Chhattisgarh the party had polled more votes than the Congress in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. She claimed that the party would again emerge victorious in the Lok Sabha elections. “ But to make it possible, everyone should work with full dedication,” she said.
In his address, the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat also exhorted the party workers to work dedicatedly to ensure success of the party at the upcoming hustings. He also dwelt on the achievements of his Government in the fields of education, health, road, agriculture and air connectivity on the occasion and claimed that the party would again win, making a clean sweep of all the five Lok Sabha seats up for grab in the State. The state BJP chief Ajay Bhatt declared the schedules of the party meetings.
