Depressed over prolonged illness, a 14-year-old boy committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling at his residence located in Amarpiur village under Berasia police station area on Monday.
The deceased identified as Sachin Prajapati was hanging with the ceiling and declared dead when taken to a hospital.
His father died around a year ago after which he left studies due to worsen financial situation of the family and started to work to earn for his mother and younger brother.
Police said that the deceased was found hanging on Monday afternoon by his mother who had gone to work along with her younger son in the morning and returned at around 4 pm. They spotted door was locked from inside and failed to get any response from deceased and later with the help of the neighbours the door was broken and on entering deceased was found hanging. Police registered a case under section 174 of CrPC and started further investigation. Police have not found any suicide note. Deceased’s mother told the police that he used to remain depressed after suffering from illness couple of months back. Meanwhile, a 45-year-old man died who sustained injuries while working at GTV Engineering Mandideep on September 15; deceased was undergoing treatment at Noble hospital.
