The Bhopal Crime Branch nabbed four miscreants who were engaged in illegal business of weapons and recovered four country-made pistols and cartridges from their possession at Shivaji Nagar on Sunday.
Acting on a tip off a miscreant was nabbed near tea stall in Shivaji Nagar and when he was searched one country made pistol and one live cartridge was recovered.
Nabbed accused was identified as Sachin Singh (31) of Shivaji Nagar and when he was quizze he confessed that he bought three pistols at Rs 14000 each from Mahesh Vishwakarma of Bheem Nagar around 10 months ago.
Sachin confessed that sold one pistol to Brijendra Singh alias Jeetu of Mata Mandir and Rohit alias Cheelu of Anna Nagar each at Rs 160000 while one pistol remained with Mahesh.
Based on the details the three were nabbed and pistols were recovered from his possession.
During the investigation Mahesh confessed that he bought the pistols from Ankit Mishra. The police have registered a case under section 21 (1-B) (A) under Arms Act.
The accused have been booked for serious crimes in the past. More crimes would be confessed in the further investigation and the source and customers which the accused used to sell the weapons would be searched in the further questioning of the nabbed miscreants.
Sachin was been booked by Jehangirabad and Kamla Nagar, Mahesh was booked by Jehangirabad, Brijendra Singh was booked TT Nagar and Rohit Nagar was booked by Govindpura.
