CM to inaugurate Vendor Development Programme today

Stage is all set for the Vendor Development Programme to be organised in Adityapur Auto Cluster, Adityapur, Jamshedpur on December 19-20. CM Raghubar Das and Minister of State for Railways, Rajen Gohain will inaugurate the event. The main objective of the programme is to explore new possibilities of business in defense and rail sectors in the State.

The event is being organised in the Adityapur Auto Cluster, Adityapur under the auspices of the Ministry of Defense and Railways, Government of Jharkhand and Adityapur Small Industrial Association (ASIA). On this occasion, foundation stone for 90 companies will be laid. This will result in an investment of Rs 1048.43 crore in the State, in which about 9,976 people will get direct employment and about 20 thousand people will get indirect employment. Among the companies Hindustan Copper Limited, the multinational company of Mauritius Laguna Clothing LLP, Excel India Limited, Baba Sai Enterprises, Kishore Export, Grih Laxmi Sales and Marketing are major.

These innovations will not only create new employment opportunities in the State, but will also develop the State economically.

The main objective of this programme is to bring together various Government departments, MSME, industrial houses, etc. on the same business platform, while coordinating between the industrial units of Jharkhand state, defense and railway units. While developing MSME capacity, it has to be developed as a supplier for defense and railway.

In this programme, more than 25 stalls of various institutions of the Ministry of Defense will be installed, which include Ordinance Factory Board, Gas Turbine Research Establishment, Alloy Corporation, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, Bharat Dynamics Limited, Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Science, Defense Research and Development Organization, Bharat Earth Movers Limited, Garden rich  Ship Building and Engineers, Hindustan Aeronautical Limited, Heavy Vehicle  Factory Jabalpur, Heavy Vehicle Factory Avaadi, etc.

About 10 stalls are being installed from Railways, South Eastern Railway, Eastern Railway, Kapurthala, Integral Coach Factory, Chennai, Rail India Technical and Economic Service, Research Design and Standard Organizations, Lucknow, Eastern Railway, Jamalpur.

Apart from this, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Heavy Engineering Corporation, Ranchi and other 70 stalls are being set up from Jharkhand.
