CM thanks voters following peaceful polling in State

Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat expressed gratitude towards the voters following the peaceful polling held for the urban local body elections in the state on Sunday.

He also appreciated the work undertaken by officers, employees and police force deputed to election duty.

Meanwhile the Bharatiya Janata Party state president Ajay Bhatt expressed confidence at the chances of the party achieving a thumping victory in the local body polls.

 Thanking the voters for exercising their franchise in the local body elections, the chief minister said that this was a sign of the strength and maturity of the nation’s democracy.

He said that the enthusiasm shown by voters for polling is specially mention worthy. Appreciating the officers, employees and police force deputed to election duty, he said that it was due to their efforts that the polling process was completed successfully.

The formation of the local bodies’ board would be undertaken after counting of the votes and declaration of the results.

Meanwhile, the BJP state president Ajay Bhatt also expressed gratitude to the voters for the peaceful voting on Sunday.

  Though the result of the election is now locked in the ballot boxes, the trends received from across the state clearly indicate that the BJP will achieve a resounding victory in the local body elections. Bhatt also thanked all the party workers, stating that their efforts in the local body polls were admirable. He also appreciated the efforts of the officers and employees deputed on election duty.
