CM reviews preparations for PM visit with officials

Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Friday directed the senior officials to ensure cleanliness in the entire State capital during forthcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Ranchi on Sunday.

He issued the direction at a high level meeting at Prabhat Tara ground in Dhurwa-the venue of the PM programme.

The PM would arrive at the Birsa Munda International airport at 11:30 am and would then reach the Prabhat Tara ground to launch Ayushman Bharat health scheme in the country.

Chief Secretary Sudhir Tripathi, Development Commissioner DK Tiwari, Home Secretary SKG Rahate, Principal Secretary Nidhi Khare, Principal Secretary to the CM Sunil Kumar Barnwal, Welfare Secretary Himani Pandey and Ranchi DC Rai Mahimapat Ray were among the officials present in the review meeting.

The CM said all the garbage should be removed from the city in the previous night adding that teams comprising one supervisor and four cleaners should be deployed across the city to maintain cleanliness in their assigned area.

The CM said that administration must ensure that people coming to listen to the PM do not face any inconvenience.

Officials present on spot informed that the CM expressed satisfaction over the arrangement adding that he also issued directions to improve it further.

Meanwhile state administration has effected a massive mobilization of police force to ensure foolproof security system during the PM visit.

Officials informed that elaborate security would be made at all the venues the PM would be touching upon during his stay.

“Apart from the district police the Rapid Action Force, Jharkhand Armed Police and Indian Reserve Battalion would be deployed at the venues. Even though the primary responsibility of security is with the state police, all the concerned central agencies including the Special Protection Group teams are guiding us to ensure infallible security,” said IG- Operations and Jharkhand Police spokesman Asish Batra.

He informed that the traffic system would be re-routed in the Dhurwa area adding that the new plan would be conveyed to the people on Saturday and Sunday. “The aim is to cause least inconvenience to the common people during the PM visit,” Batra said.

The Ranchi DC added that specific entry and exit point have been made for the people visiting the venue. He added that drinking water and toilets facilities would also be available for them. It may be stated here that administration has also earmarked parking lots around the main venue. Specific parking places have been created for people coming from different districts.
