Ayushman Bharat Scheme, which will be implemented to provide free treatment facilities to poor families up to Rs five lakh, will come into effect from September 23.
The scheme will be launched nationwide by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Ranchi and on that same day, state level function would be organised in Karnal, said Haryana Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, RR Jowel, in a video conferencing with the Deputy Commissioners at Chandigarh.
He said that the Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya, the Chief Minister Manohar Lal and Health Minister Anil Vij will be present in the state-level function. In other districts, the Ministers, MLAs and officers will remain present.
Jowel said that on September 23, the national launch programme of Ayushman Bharat Scheme will be relayed in all the districts of the state through web link. The address of the Prime Minister will be relayed through the web link.
He told that the beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat Scheme have been identified and they are now being given a golden card to avail the benefits of the scheme. The beneficiary will have to go to a nearby government hospital with his aadhar card, ration card copy and mobile number to get themselves registered, he said.
Jowel also said that all civil hospitals located at the district level have been registered under this scheme. Apart from these, the hospitals located at sub-division level have also been registered. He said that private hospitals are also being registered.
