Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anil Vij on Tuesday said that applications have been invited from the sportspersons who have shown excellent performance at national or international level for appointment to posts on various services of the state.
Sportspersons who have either played for Haryana at the national level or is domicile of Haryana would only be considered eligible for these posts, he said.
While giving details, Vij said that those sportspersons who had played for competitions including Olympics, Para-Olympics, Asian Games, Asian Para Games, Commonwealth Games, (Para Sports), World Championships organized once in 1 or 2 or 4 years, IBSA World Games, Deaflympics, World University Games, Asian or Commonwealth Championships organized once in 1 or 2 or 4 years and special Olympics at senior level are eligible for these posts.
Sportspersons who have represented any other state or union territory at the national level will not be eligible for these posts, the Minister said.
