‘A once in a lifetime experience’

Friday, 21 September 2018 | Sana Riyaz | Bhopal

I am thankful to KBC ‘hot-seat’ as it made me regain my confidence, says Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) participant from city Anuradha Mangal.

The KBC platform once again had a participant from the city of lakes. Anuradha Mangal from Bhopal was seen playing one of the biggest reality shows of television KBC season 10. Anuradha appeared in episode aired on September 17.

While in a candid talk with The Pioneer, Anuradha explained her experience as ‘once in a lifetime experience’. Elaborating further, Anuradha said, “When I suffered post-pregnancy depression, I lost my confidence in everything. As due to my pregnancy I had to leave my job and in last three years I came across a lot of up and down situations.”

“I am thankful to KBC that it brought back my confidence and now I can do whatever I want,” said Anuradha contently. Anuradha worked as an assistant professor of computer science at Truba College of Technology. She said that it was very hard for her to overcome the post-pregnancy depression. “It remained a turning point for me,” she added.

While interacting more about it, Anuradha said that she is very lucky that her family supported her and so she could crack KBC different levels. “My in-laws live in Madhusudhangargh village. When I was going through a trauma, my sister encouraged me to read books so that I can crack KBC. My in-laws were too happy when I told them that I passed the first level. Event they bought me a saree which I wore when the episode was aired.”

While sharing her experience on being at the hot-seat, she said, “When I saw Amitabh Bachchan with such positive approach to all of us then I just made up my mind that I have to crack fastest-finger-first. In just 5 seconds I answered the question and got the opportunity to sit at hot-seat with Amitabh sir.” “It was just an amazing experience. Amitabh sir is so energetic and a wonderful person,” she added. Though Anuradha took Rs 10,000 with her, yet she seems to have no grudges. “Maine jo kamaya who paise se badhkar hai,” she said similingly.

She signed off saying, “I would just advice all the companies, institutes to start day-care centers in the premises for women and their newly born who have joined their services after maternity leave.”
