Yashwant Sinha says won't quit BJP

Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha, who quit as party Vice President while attacking the leadership for not taking responsibility for the electoral debacle, on Sunday said he was "happy" that his resignation has been accepted but maintained that he will remain in the party.
"I had sent my resignation to be accepted. Therefore I'm happy that my resignation has been accepted and I have no further comments to make," the former External Affairs and Finance Minister said when his reaction was sought over the issue.
However, Sinha said from his residence in Hazaribagh that he will continue to be in the BJP. "Of course, I'm in the party. I will be in the party."
He had yesterday quit as the party's Vice President and from other posts, charging the leadership with not taking responsibility for the electoral debacle in what was seen as criticism of L K Advani and Rajnath Singh.
Sinha, who was apparently upset over the party's chief election strategist Arun Jaitley being made the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, said in the letter: "It is difficult to avoid the impression that in the BJP we put a premium on failure."
Asked when is he going to come up with his part of the story, Sinha said, "Not for the time being".
