As many as 39 candidates have submitted 56 nominations on Tuesday for the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections in Chhattisgarh which raises the tally to 91, the Election Commission said.
Three candidates submitted five nominations for the Surguja constituency, three submitted five nominations for Raigarh, five submitted eight nominations for Janjgir-Champa, six submitted as many nominations for Bilaspur, five submitted eight nominations for Durg, 13 submitted 16 nominations for Raipur and four have submitted eight nominations for Korba. Nominations will be accepted until April 19. They will be scrutinized on April 20 and withdrawals will be accepted until April 22.
The seven constituencies will see polling on May 7. The results will be announced on June 4 across the country.
