Research Summit 2024 inaugurated at Rabindranath Tagore University

The international research and innovation conference Shodh Shikhar 2024 was inaugurated by Rabindranath Tagore University and affiliated institutions. The theme of this year is “Developed India-New India”.

On this occasion, Prof K Narasimha Reddy, Vice Chancellor, Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University, Hyderabad, as the chief guest, Prof. RK Bedi, Director, Satyam Institute of Engineering and Technology, Amritsar, Punjab, Prof. as the special guest. Usha Nair, Member Secretary State Level NAAC Cell, Vice Chancellor of RNTU Prof. Rajni Kant, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Sangeeta Johri, Prof in relation to the research summit. T Ravi Kiran was present. The program was presided over by the Chancellor of the University,  Santosh Choubey.On this occasion Prof. Expressing happiness, K Narasimha Reddy ji said that I have participated in many summits but this is the first time I have participated in the research summit, this is a wonderful idea. India has had an important contribution in research and innovation since ancient times.

Further, giving an example for the progress of the nation after independence, he said that Dr. Swaminathan had played an important role in making India self-reliant in agriculture. Verghese Kurien became the father of the Indian White Revolution. Which helped India to emerge as the world's largest milk producer.

Similarly, whenever the nation needs, our country's scientists have been making invaluable contributions to the nation's progress through research and innovation. He also clarified the difference between research and innovation. Santosh Choubey ji said that work on research orientation was being done in India since ancient times.

He gave examples of Charak and Sushruta and Aryabhata. Today the youth are telling us that we do not need to go into depression. We have a lot of potential. We were and will remain world leaders. Everyone just has to step forward. We have to focus more on cities as well as rural areas. The new education policy has almost eliminated the problem of language.

ISECT played an important role in the computer revolution in this country. We reached every panchayat in India and gave computer education to the people. You have to become an innovative mind. We also need to include human values in research.

Addressing the researchers, Prof RK Bedi said that research and innovation is the backbone for a developed India. While giving the basic mantra to the researchers, he told them to focus on 3C. First curiosity, second creativity and third collaboration. This event will definitely provide a new direction in fulfilling the dream of developed India.

Usha Nair said that our education system should focus on skill based. Today the whole world needs innovation and research. Innovation should continue continuously in every field. Now India is working rapidly in this. All of you prepare yourselves for research and innovation.
